La Masca in Cucina seconda classificata nella sfida dei cooking show della Sagra del perone di Carmagnola con Nergi: bellissima atmosfera tra colleghi!

 

Che dire… siamo stati GRANDI, e non e’ mica sboroneria: e’ che davvero eravamo tutti bravi e tranquilli e assai poco competitivi tra di noi, ma desiderosi di divertirci nella sfida a colpi di cooking show che si e’ tenuta sabato 29 agosto a Carmagnola (TO) all’interno della Sagra del Peperone.

A Pepero’, come si chiama anche la Sagra, quest’anno ci sono parecchieย novita’, tra cui la presenza di un piccolo frutto verde che voleva essere sposato al peperone nelle ricette: il Nergi.

In suo onore sono stati selezionati 5 foodblogger che sono saliti sul palco a cucinare il piatto ideato per l’occasione.

Doveva essere una sfida, perche’ al pubblico piacciono queste cose, ma si e’ trasformata -ed e’ molto meglio- in una rassegna di spremitura di meningi, al di la’ del risultato finale: primo e quinto, secondo, terzo, quarto… mai come questa volta queste sono state solo parole, perche’ non abbiamo lottato tra di noi per emergere sugli altri, ma per mostrare cio’ che ognuno di noi sa fare.
Abbiamo anche potuto coordinare la nostra prima (e probabilmente unica) brigata in cucina, composta dai meravigliosi e volenterosi ragazzi dell’Alberghiero Colle Don Bosco e non direi che sia una cosa da tutti i giorni!

Non si conoscevano prima di persona, ma per sorte quei cinque prescelti dopo attenta selezione dell’organizzazione si sono trovati in sintonia, rilassati e propensi a fare comunella (specialmente dopo il pranzo e il vino di sabato al Caffe’ UP, ma questa e’ un’altra storia che vi raccontero’ a breve); di accoltellarsi per vincere a qualunque costo proprio non avevano voglia (i mariti poi hanno fatto una comunella indecente, specialmente i due genovesi… uno era mio!)

Beh, un clima cosi’ e’ bello, al di la’ del risultato che comunqueย una gerarchia la deve stabilire!

Di piu’: la giuria della sagra doveva essere composta da un centinaio di giornalisti ed esperti, ma alla fine si e’ rivelata molto piu’ rilassata, formata dal pubblico in sala (c’erano perfino dei bambini, quindi i voti sono stati assegnati DE PANZA, come si dice): bene, l’atmosfera era distesa.

Ovviamente, giusto per non essere ipocrita, segnalo la mia enorme soddisfazione per esser stata decretata seconda per un soffio di voti sotto alla prima, ma posso davvero assicurare che cio’ non significa che il mio piatto fosse peggio del suo e migliore di quello che e’ arrivato dopo.

In cucina, io credo, le sfide -che pero’ comprendo che piacciano al pubblico, avvezzo dai tempi dei romani a vedere gladiatori, arene e leoni- si vincono sulle tecniche e sulle idee, mai sui sapori, perche’ nulla e’ piu’ soggettivo del gusto.
Quante volte ci e’ capitato di vedere una signora che si sente elegantissima per strada e di pensare “Io in giro conciata cosi’ non ci andrei nemmeno morta”?
Oppure, avete mai sentito dire (in modo molto maleducato) “Mangi i gamberi? Che schifo”

E cosi, mentre una tecnica di cottura puo’ essere considerata una genialata piu’ di un’altra perche’ -ad esempio- conserva il colore della verdura o le proprieta’ organolettiche della carne (sto pensando al sottovuoto) e un abbinamento inusuale puo’ essere apprezzato perche’ aggiunge qualcosa al panorama esistente, il piatto “buono” o “cattivo” non esiste, altrimenti non si spiegherebbero le persone addicted del junk food (passatemi due termini “foresti” per una volta) o quelle che mangiano il miglio cotto (che io considero- a gusto mio- poco appetibile)

Indipendentemente dalla sfida alla sagra, quindi, noi 5 foodblogger abbiamo implicitamente rappresentato quest’idea: mostrare un abbinamento, una tecnica, le nostre abilita’, ma senza pensare allo scannatoio della classifica.

Permettetemi: in un mondo (quello della rete) nel quale si viaggia a colpi di LIKE, spesso frutto di orrendi scambi e di pianificazioni, nel quale si dice di non commentare il tale foodblogger per non dargli visibilita’, in cui ci si auto referenzia pubblicando in proprio dei libri di cucina che poi vengono recensiti in rete da nostra sorella, dalla moglie o dal marito e dal vicino di sotto, tenere alta la qualita’ e cercare di fare del proprio meglio senza pensare ad una graduatoria, E’ BELLISSIMO, e consentite ad una vecchia brontolona di usare la maiuscola.

Poi, come si dice… nel mio curriculum di food blogger ci segno che HO FATTO DUE, mica sono scema ๐Ÿ˜€ย : lo segno eccome, ma immagino abbiate capito lo spirito CON CUI LO DICO.
